Hi,

We have almost 500 power platform users who uses/owns different power platform apps or flows. now compny is moving to different email domain within same tenant. will this impact the users access or flow runs.

what should be the steps to do update the email of users. will it also impact the users licensing.
I have the same question (0)

Changing the primary email domain (UPN) within the same tenant generally does not impact a user's underlying ownership of Power Platform resources, as these are typically tied to the user's Object ID rather than their email address.

The process of changing the domain is carried out in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. You would first add the new domain and complete the DNS verification.
In the Users section, you can then update the user's primary email address. This can be done in bulk via the Active Users section by selecting users and clicking Change domains.

After changing the email address, the users will need to open their apps and flows and re-sign into their connections. Another thing to be aware of are personal OneDrive URLs, as the paths will change following an email address change.

For reference, here's a link to a post from @martinav who has carried out this task.

    Hello @tushar001

When you create a Shared Booking Page in Microsoft Bookings, it generates a mailbox in Entra ID. This mailbox can sync with Outlook, but unless it’s fully licensed and provisioned for Teams, Outlook events won’t automatically include Teams meeting links.

Even after assigning an E3 license, you must ensure:

    • Teams is enabled for the account.

    • The mailbox is provisioned as a user mailbox (not just a resource).

    • Outlook is configured to add online meetings by default.

      Steps to Fix

    • Assign and Verify Teams License

      • Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center → Users → Active Users.

      • Select the shared booking account.

Under Licenses and Apps, ensure Microsoft Teams is toggled ON.
Assign or unassign licenses for users in the Microsoft 365 admin center

    Confirm Teams Provisioning

    • Log in to  with the shared account.

    • If Teams opens, provisioning is complete. If not, wait up to 24 hours.

Enable Online Meeting Creation in Outlook

    • Sign in to Outlook on the web.

    • Go to Settings → Calendar → Events and invitations.

    • Enable “Add online meeting to all meetings”.

Schedule a Microsoft Teams meeting from Outlook

      Check Teams Meeting Policies

    • In Teams Admin Center or PowerShell, verify the account can create meetings: Get-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -Identity Global

Ensure AllowCreateMeetings is set to True.

      Convert Mailbox Type if Needed

    • If the shared booking account is a resource mailbox, convert it to a user mailbox:

      Set-Mailbox <email> -Type Regular

Manage user mailboxes in Exchange Online

      Workaround for Recurring Meetings

Since Microsoft Bookings does not support recurring appointments, you can:

Use Outlook with the shared account to create recurring meetings.

Ensure Teams links are added automatically (via Outlook settings).

Or automate recurring Teams meetings using Power Automate.

With these steps, your shared booking account should start generating Outlook events with Teams links included.
