Integrating Wazuh Logs with Microsoft Power Automate via Webhooks

Hello Power Automate Community,

I am currently working on a project where I aim to integrate Wazuh logs into an Excel sheet automatically using Microsoft Power Automate and webhooks. My objective is to have Wazuh send logs to a Power Automate flow via a webhook, which will process the incoming data and store it in an Excel file.

Here’s the current setup:

  • Wazuh Configuration: I’ve configured Wazuh to send alerts to an external API using the Integrator module, as described in the Wazuh documentation.
  • Power Automate Flow: I’ve created a flow that uses the "When an HTTP request is received" trigger to capture incoming data from the Wazuh webhook.

The challenge I’m facing is parsing the incoming JSON data from Wazuh, particularly when dealing with nested JSON structures. I need to map this data accurately into specific columns in an Excel file, but I’m unsure about the best practices for:

  1. Parsing nested JSON data in Power Automate.
  2. Mapping JSON data dynamically to corresponding Excel columns.
  3. Ensuring all relevant log details are captured, even with complex data structures.

I want this process to be completely automated, without relying on manual downloads of CSV files or intermediate tools.

My Ask:

Could you kindly provide a step-by-step guide or examples for achieving this integration? Specifically, I’m looking for guidance on:

  • Setting up JSON parsing in Power Automate for incoming Wazuh log data.
  • Dynamically mapping JSON fields to Excel columns using Power Automate.
  • Any potential pitfalls or considerations to keep in mind while working with webhooks, nested JSON data, or Excel integration in Power Automate.

I would greatly appreciate any insights, tips, or best practices to make this work seamlessly.
