I'm just starting out with using Power Apps and with creating tables in the dataverse in order to build canvas apps.
I've been playing around with a table and got things like lookups to 2 other tables set up.
Since I've been trying things out, I've now got records that I'd like to delete, but the option is greyed out? Any ideas what's going on here, is it that I don't have high enough accessibility and something I'll need my IT team to enable?
The ability to delete records in a Dataverse table is controlled by the security roles assigned to the user or the team. If the "Delete" option is grayed out, it's likely that the user's security role does not have the appropriate permissions to delete records from the table.
To check the security role, you can go to the Power Apps maker portal and open the "Environment" where your Dataverse table is located. From there, go to the "Security" tab and select the user or team whose security role you want to check.
Once you have identified the user or team, you can then review their security role and check if the "Delete" permission is enabled for the table. If it's not, you can either modify the existing security role or create a new one with the appropriate permissions.
Alternatively, if you do not have the necessary permissions to modify security roles, you can contact your IT team or the Power Apps administrator in your organization and ask them to grant you the necessary permissions.
It's also possible that the table has been set up with some specific constraints that disallow deleting of records. You can check the properties of the table to see if any such constraints have been applied.
