In our Power Pages, we are using self-registration. This seems to work fine. However, the email confirmation mails and 2FA etc are not being send. The error message states:
Could not find email address for recipient of type 'SystemUser' with ID 'xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx'
By default, these mail template seem to use "contact(owner)" as the from address. But with self registration, the owner seems to be the system user (who indeed had no email).
When changing the "from" the mail action, mails seem to appear in the contacts timeline, but still nothing is really send towards the email address of the contact. The status reason is "pending send"
My questions
- Do I really need the change the "from" on all processes? (to a user? Of what is best practice?)
- Do I still need to do some additional configuration to send real mails ?
Perhaps I'm doing it all wrong 😀
