I like to build a flow where a user can select an excel file (in Teams, alsways the same location. But with different suffix), the flow will (among other) send emails to the people in the excel file and change some values.
I can use a select file option in the "manually..." start action. But I cann't use this file dynamically in the reminder of the flow (or at least I don't know how to do it).
I also tried to use a "variable" to construct the filename. But this als doesn't work.
Is this possible only using Flow? How can I achieve this?
I just discovered that Flow doesn't support this way of opening/using an excel file. SO I have to find another way.
Thanks for the suggestions!
Here are the changes I think you should make
1. Don't put the Value in the Initialize. Leave it blank as its not needed here.
2. Remove the Append to String Value action and replace it with a Set Variable Action
3. In the Set Variable Action put this in the Value - TKD-20192020- (Input Button).xls
See my Set Variable Action above.
But how do I use these variables in an Excel connector. I need to input the location and "folder" (those are static, so no problem there), but the excel filename is variable. If I use the variable I can (of course) not select the "Table" (I named this the same for all files), but if I put it in manual it still doesn't work.
I think you are on the correct track with using variables. Maybe its just the way you are using variables is incorreect. I did something similar to what you want.
