Hello Folks,

I am trying to export my solution and import it in to different environment . But I am getting the below error

There are missing dependencies. Install the following solutions before installing this one: "Active". Looking at the error I couldnt find any solution named " Relate"

Kindly advise how do I proceed further.

Thanks

    Hi @ragavanrajan ,

According to your description, please check if the solution(“Relate”) is in the export environment.

    For example:

    1\ Failed to import "Test66"

2\ Find the solution in the import environment. And try to add dependencies.

3\ The result is as follows:

In addition, please publish it after modifying the solution.

    Best Regards,

    Wearsky

hi @ragavanrajan just to give you a more general idea of whats happening:

    • you are trying to import a solution with probably just a few selected components
    • your target environment doesn't contain a "parent" component that you have in your solution, thus is giving you the error above

    a very simple example:

    • in DEV, you create a new view for the Account entity
    • still in DEV, you add a sub-grid for Account entity in the Contact form - the sub-grid reference this new view
    • now you add only the Contact form to a solution, and export that
    • Once you try to import in your target environment, you will get a dependency error, that the new view for the Account doesn't exist, and it is required by that Contact form

Try to see if you find more information on what might be the component missing, and simply add it to your solution.

    Hi @ragavanrajan,

Small addition to @OliverRodrigues comment - to find what exactly missing in the easy way you can import your solution via Classic interface and it will show you what components are missing. To do so you need to open your Dynamics instance, go to Advance Settings (which will open classic interface), then to Settings>Solutions. And there you can import your solution via legacy interface with proper error. I hope MS will soon add proper error to UCI as well.
