Hi all,

I have a Power Portal which i want to (including its solution) export to another environment. I cant import the solution because of dependencies to 'CDSBasePortal' and 'SCMCustomerPortal'. I cant find the exact dependencies, so is there anyone who can help me identify the fixes?

    Hi @RiVaVe ,

Why do you want to import these solutions? These solutions shall be installed automatically from Microsoft

    Hi @RiVaVe ,

Is the other environment has the power portal?

Are you using the power portal or power pages?

    hi, @EmadBeshai ,

the target environments does not have a Power portal nor power page yet. It regards a power portal, not a page.

    Hi @RiVaVe ,

Your solution has dependencies with the Power Portal, so you shouldn't include the dependent components from the power portal inside your solution because that will case issues later if you will need to install the Power Portal on it.

My advice is to install the Power Portal on the target environment even if you will not use it now.

If you have any issues with creating Power Portal on your target environment please let me know to guide you.

    Hi @EmadBeshai ,

Thank you for your fast replies. Really appreciate it. Do I just have to create “a” portal in general, and could this be a page as well? If not, I’m not sure how to create one.

    Hi @RiVaVe ,

    My Pleasure!

You have to check your source environment before creating anything on the target environment, why? because the Portal Portal and Power Page are totally different at the Data model but the same from the technical scope.

To check your source environment Data model type please follow the below steps

     From https://make.powerapps.com

    EmadBeshai_0-1698953427621.png

    Then Power Pages

    EmadBeshai_1-1698953471259.png

From the Power Page at the home page please select details as shown

    EmadBeshai_2-1698953563367.png

Please check you Data Model if it is Standard or Enhanced as shown below

    EmadBeshai_3-1698953635734.png

If it is Standard then it is a Power Portal and if it is Enhanced then it is a Power Pages.

If you didn't create the Portal on your target environment before then it will be created by default Enhanced Data model (Power Pages), but if your source environment is Standard Data Model then you have to check my solution here to convert your target environment to Standard instead of Enhanced Solved: Re: Portal Management & Power Pages Management - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

After preparing your target environment you need to create new website as shown below

    EmadBeshai_4-1698953965234.png

Let me know if you need more clarification.

    Hi @EmadBeshai

So, I have not created the portal/page on the target environment yet. My current (source) portal has a standard data model; does this mean I have to create a page on the new environment and then change its data model?

    Hi @RiVaVe ,

Yes, but you should create your Power Portal after disabling your Enhanced Data Model as explained at the post I referred to it before .

    Hi @EmadBeshai

I have disabled 'switch to enhanced' in the target environment, but still do not see the 'Portal Management' MDA. I have done this about 1.5h ago. Will it appear after creating a portal/page now or what is there i can do?
