Hi,
For a project work for my client, I am trying to understand the limitation of PowerApps Trial plan (mainly around the storage space) that comes with 30 days trial availability before I can plan to get it converted to PRODUCTION (paid version).
Below is what I have found so far:
So, above is ISSUE-2 where now I cannot even get a Paid version without deleting the DEV environment where I have built something for 30 days. The whole thing around convert from Trial to Production is bit confusing or may be bit misleading!!
Am I missing anything here?
It would be highly appreciated if someone can confirm/correct my above findings!!. It seems that one is better of starting with the paid environment and to buy more storage capability to start properly at the first place. (But then clients have some other understanding from their reading of MS docos – asking consultants to start with TRIAL plan first!!)
Thanks in advance.

Hi AR,
As of August 2019 we changed how storage and provisioning works within Dynamics. You can see a short article on the changes made here: https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/provisioning-and-administration-updates-are-now-live-in-the-power-platform-admin-center/
But basically for each paid license it increases your storage capacity by a certain amount based on what licenses you have purchased and as long as you have 1GB of available storage you can create as many environments as you want. You can see how much storage capacity you currently have here and how much you have already used: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/analytics/capacity
Trail environments are a testing area that are meant for short term testing. These environments aren't counted against your storage capacity so currently it counts as 0GB towards your storage capacity. While this is helpful for temporary testing so you can effectively test whatever you need, you will still need to meet the 1GB storage capacity requirement then if you want to turn it into a full fledged environment.
There is some additional information on environments here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/environments-overview
