Hello
Probably, there's (currently) no solution for what I would like to accomplish. But because I am not the domain administrator, I might as well be wrong.
I would like to use forwarded teams calls as a trigger for "Power Automate" / "Workflows" to either open a Sharepoint website or use a prepared item (checklist) from "Forms". However, there doesn't seem to be a connector for calls, but only for (chat) messages.
If anyone knows, that (and how) this can be accomplished, I'd be very glad to hear about it.
Hi @nitishsh91
Thank you for the suggestion and sorry for the late reply. The notification got blocked in the quarantine of our mail server and I didn't check the thread manually for answers.
1. That sounds like what might work. A found the trigger and I sah that I can select a bot to post a message in a channel. But how can I define the important step (listhen for calls)? I did find anyhting for that.
2. The workaround with Microsoft Power Virtual Agent I had in fact noticed. But wish to include that.
3. This is probably out of scope. As of now, I have no experience with the Microsoft Graph API.
Apart from the above, as already mentioned I'm not the domain (or teams) administrator and therefore couldn't implement some of the theoretically possible solutions. If I were totally convinced of a benefit in the end for me/us, I would bother my boss about it. But because the whole thing only startet as an experiment, I don't wish to involve him to it.
Hi @ch-fi-4566
Currently Power Automate does not have a built-in connector for triggering a flow based on a forwarded call in Microsoft Teams. However, there are a few workarounds that you can try:
You can use the Power Automate "When a new message is posted" trigger and set up a bot in Microsoft Teams that listens for calls and sends a message to a specific channel in Teams. The flow can then be triggered based on the message being posted in the channel.
You can use a third-party service such as Microsoft Power Virtual Agents to create a bot that listens for calls and sends a message to a specific channel in Teams. This message can then be used to trigger a flow in Power Automate.
You can use the Microsoft Graph API to retrieve information about calls in Teams, and then use that information to trigger a flow in Power Automate. This would require some development work and knowledge of the Microsoft Graph API.
Please note that you will need to have the appropriate permissions and access to set up a bot in Microsoft Teams, use a third-party service, or access the Microsoft Graph API.
It's important to keep in mind that these are workarounds and may not work in all scenarios, it also may need some development work. However, this is the best solution currently available to trigger flow based on forwarded calls in Teams
