Nested Apply to each when joining multiple email addresses

I have been following a Dynamic Approvers YouTube video but getting stuck when selecting and joining multiple approvers from a SharePoint list.  After using a filter query to select the correct department, my next step is to Select the Approval 1 user’s emails from a SharePoint list, Join them with a semicolon, then add them to an already initialized variable,

During the Select data operation, I specify Approver 1 from the Previous ‘Get Departments’ step, then I change Map to Text and Select Approver 1 Email, but it creates a second nested Apply to each.  Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Re: Nested Apply to each when joining multiple email addresses

The video I was referencing for this solution never ran into the nested Apply to Each scenario, but I was able to get around the issue by changing the Select an output from the previous step in the nested Apply to Each as the value of the parent, which allowed me to set the variable and ultimately was an accepted output for the Start and wait for approval step.

@Sundeep_Malik No doubt I could use compose, but it presented some of the same difficulties as using a Variable when working with it.  Being new to Power Automate, I followed the recommendations of the guide I was using.

    Hey @AllenLacy

Aren't you getting the solution that you required.

But you have doubt why you are getting nested loops here. This is because I think you are using get items, so firstly it will penetrate each item in list and then there are multiple values in approver also, that's why there are nested loops.

Just I had a question, why are you using select here? you could have directly used compose here.
