MS Lists/Power Automate - Two forms to update one record

Hello all,

I have a question regarding the MS lists and Power Automate.

I got one MS LISTS with workflow as follows - The first form creates a new row with 1 to 10 columns updated, then the email is sent to another person with the form that will update the columns from 11 to 14.

Is it feasible to concatenate those two forms of response into one row?

Thank you in advance for your feedback on this.

Have a good one

    Hello @rzaneti

Thank you a lot for this, this is exactly what I did right now I've created two separate lists and concatenated them based on the unique ID given in the form.

I'm new to the Power Apps hence thank you for the hint I will try to explore more in that direction.

    Have a great day ahead

    Hi @BeerTrooper ,

So far, it seems to not be possible to achieve it with Lists forms, as by default it always create a new List record.

A possible (but not perfect) workaround would be to work with a MS Forms for columns 11 to 14, so you can handle the submissions in Power Automate and update the correct List item.

The only inconvenient here is that you would need to ask for an unique identifier into this second form, like the List Item ID or any other value that makes sense in your context. You need it because, as of today, it's not possible to set dynamic values to MS Forms.

Another possible solution is to work with Power Apps, but it may have some license requirements. The advantages of this approach is that you can handle dynamic IDs, so the user would not need to enter the ID in the Form submission, and you have a lot of room for customization.

Let me know if it works for you or if you need any additional help!
