I am trying to setup an autoreply from a shared folder. I am new to this, so probably missing something obvious. I also am trying to avoid mail loops.
So far, I have caused one so I want to be extra careful. I am now trying to use "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2)" with "Reply to an email (V3)". What I am stuck on with this, is I don't see a way to populate the "Message ID" with the senders address. One other note, I am wanting to send using a noreply distribution group. Is that even doable?
Hi @adam_mulugeta, did you grant the shared mailbox right to send as yours one?
I have a similar goal, but here's what makes it different: "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox, I want to auto-reply from my own email address, not the shared mailbox. I've tried entering my email in the "Original Mailbox Address" field, but the Flow keeps failing. Can someone assist?
Hi @estinson, have a look at AutoReply flow for Office 365.
Hi @v-duann-msft, you are right - there is no direct way to manage a shared mailbox to send as a group.
However, a topic starter can use their own mailbox (regular one, not shared) to send as a group.
Hi @estinson
Thank you for posting.
According to your description, you would like to auto-reply email once new email arrived in a shared mailbox. Meanwhile, you want to send reply email via a group address. If any misunderstanding, please kindly let me know.
We can try below flow steps to achieve your first requirement.
The hr-user is one of my shared mailboxs. Once tested, I’m able to receive that replied email.
For your secondary query, I am wanting to send using a noreply distribution group. Is that even doable?
I’m afraid it’s not possible as there is no action or trigger for group. Meanwhile, if we want make shared mailbox send as a group. We need to first configure SendAs permission in advance from exchange admin center. However, it’not supported to assign SendAs permission to a shared mailbox in exchange. I tested but failed. I couldn’t even find any shared mailbox account listed when I setup group delegation. Thus, I believe it’s currently impossible. It's exchange limitation instead of flow's.
If you still consider use such kind of feature, I recommend you go to exchange UserVoice to post your idea to allow shared mailbox send as a group address.
