No Longer Able to Paste Image into Rich Text Control

Up until recently it was possible to paste images from the clipboard into Rich Text controls. It would convert the image into a data URI to store in a text column such as SharePoint Multiple lines of text.

I discovered today this no longer works. The image simply does not paste into the control any more.

The Rich Text control will still display existing images via the data URI. Was this a published change, or a regression fault/bug?

Update: The feature still works in the Power Apps desktop app, but not in the browser.
