Update OneDrive for Business file metadata

Regarding the use of OneDrive files in Power Automate:

1. Is it possible to update any of the file metadata in a OneDrive for Business folder, in addition to "getting" the file metadata?

2. I was able to create a custom column in a OneDrive for  Business folder. Would it be possible to then update this custom column/metadata using Power Automate?

So far, it appears neither of these are possible in OneDrive, only in SharePoint.

    Hello @Runner55552 ,

I didn't try this, but OneDrive is just another SharePoint document library in a different dress - you might try to use the 'Update file properties' SharePoint action and manually enter the OneDrive url instead of a SharePoint one.

Thanks. I have tried that, but still not getting a connection. It could be my organization isn't allowing it, although I can use the OneDrive for Business connectors.  I saw this link earlier: Flow with Personal Sharepoint List - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)  It notes that if you normally log in with name@domain.org you would format it to name_domain_org after https://parsons365-my.sharepoint.com/personal/

Then I don't think you can do that in a flow, it works to get file metadata but it doesn't work for update. Maybe you could do that with an HTTP request via Graph API but that's on a different level of complexity (and licensing).

Update:  I managed to get the SharePoint action to work. Just needed to add in the Documents folder as the "library" and click ok to use Documents as custom library name.

I was able to use the Get Files (Properties Only) SharePoint action to get the metadata from OneDrive files, including data from a custom column that I created in the OneDrive folder. I was also then able to use the SharePoint update files action to update that same custom column in OneDrive, and was able filter for filenames using a filter array based on the Name or Identifier property. So overall, using SharePoint actions worked.
