How to see fails on a running flow

Hello All,

I just ran my flow and it should send some emails to my colleagues (144 people) but it seems it stuck and sent only a portion of the emails. And need to see who has already sent it but cannot see because I don't want to stop it. Could you please assist?

    Hey @mstfaksm

    Its not possible to see fails on a running flow.

    Its a really bad con of Power Automate, till the flow doesnt finish you cannot even see what mistake is happening. You can only see it after it finishes.

    Its a really bad downside of power automate and hopefully in future they add this feature to check while the flow is running.

    @mstfaksm

    I hope you tested it before with less amount of values like 10-20.

    And also let it stop, wait till the weekend. For sure it should stop till then.

    Then you can debug what exactly is happening.

    Another downside of Power Automate:

    Throttling

    Many times throttling happens and some flows take a lot of time.

    And if you are not using any variables in your apply to each you can use concurrency control which might help you speed up the flow.

    Hi, It didn't execute the process, and I had to stop it. Then, I copied the flow and changed the email sending action to Outlook email action and sent emails from my personal address it seems solved but is not a proper solution.

      @mstfaksm

    Are you using Send an Email Notification V3?

    I would anyday suggest you to use Office 365 Outlook's send an email V2 action.

    Some reasons are below:

    1) V2 can send 900 emails every 60 seconds. On the other hand V3 can only send 100 emails every 24 hours.

    2) V2 has been performing quite well. But in the last 1 year V3 has stopped many times and does not work properly. Many people have complained about it many times.

    So, anyday I would suggest you to use V2 over V3.

    I hope this helps 🙂

    Yes, the issue was completely about this I guess. But it is so annoying because I have to use my personal address for Outlook V2.  I think Power automate's most used action is sending an email action, it is not sensible if we cannot use it properly.🤔

    @mstfaksm

    If you don't want to send it from your email you can use a service account or you can make a separate account that will just be used to send emails.

    I see there is an option to use any business address but my company doesn't allow me to use it. Unfortunately, I have to use the second option, my personal address.

    Thanks for your solutions and giving alternatives for me. Very helpful.
