Manage Power Automation
The Automation Center in Power Automate is a comprehensive hub designed to help users monitor and troubleshoot their automation processes. With built-in dashboards, performance metrics, execution logs, and integrated Copilot support, it offers a holistic view of your automation landscape.
Data and Visualization Strategy The Automation Center leverages data stored in Microsoft Dataverse, displaying essential automation information through the Overview and Runs tabs. It offers insights into cloud and desktop flow runs, presenting a detailed view from start to finish. This approach allows users to monitor the health of their automations and evaluate their overall success or failure, along with key metrics such as execution duration and success rates.

Required Permissions Data in the Automation Center is managed through Dataverse tables and controlled using role-based access control (RBAC). In standard environments, default environment maker roles have access to necessary privileges, while custom roles with specific row-level privileges can be created to manage more granular access.

Key Features The Automation Center provides essential tools and visualizations, including:
  • Flow Runs by Status: Displays the status of top-level flows, helping identify patterns and issues in automation processes.
  • Flow Runs Error Rate: Shows error trends over time, offering insights into common failure points.
  • Recommendations: Offers actionable insights to address potential issues, such as work queue failures or unused machine resources.
Integrated Copilot for Enhanced Automation The Automation Center includes Copilot, an AI-powered assistant designed to answer questions and help analyze automation performance. Users can ask Copilot to provide real-time insights, such as the number of flows that ran successfully yesterday or the status of work queue items. Copilot is powered by Azure OpenAI Service and is optimized for English, with support for other languages in development.
