Smartsheet Tasks to Microsoft Planner Connection

I'm looking for help in the best way to connect a PMO Portfolio of Projects in Smartsheets to Microsoft Planner. I want to be able to enable all 'Assigned' rows in each and every project plan to automate into 1 Microsoft Planner carrying over the Project Name, Task Description and Due date. I also want to do the reverse. When a task is marked completed in Planner, I want it to update in Smartsheet.

I've connected Smartsheets with Microsoft Planner using Power Automate but the latest instructions I've found in the community recommendations online aren't detailed enough on how in Smartsheets you can best roll-up the tasks and but then also automate the update back from Microsoft Planner when marked complete.

Anyone have instructions or a resource that can help?

    Hi,

I'm using Smartsheet and Planner extensively and will give you my best recommendation, even if that's not what you may necessarily want to hear.

Smartsheet has a time and place, largely pre-2017, but doesn't play well with Power Automate.  That's the most likely root cause why you don't see a lot of documentation that is helpful.  From my experience, it's pretty limited.  But in case you haven't seen the triggers and actions, I'm showing them below to give you some ideas.

    Thank you, Tom @trice602

I am aware of the triggers and have been able to connect.  I'm looking for detailed instructions though for the MS Planner side as well as the Smartsheet side to setup where the tasks roll-up in Smartsheets and can go both directions from MS Planner when needing action and back to Smartsheet to update when completed.
