Regarding power apps plan1

Does the old name - Power Apps Plan2 correspond to what Microsoft refers to as the Power Apps per user plan? And does the old name - Power Apps Plan1 correspond to what Microsoft refers to now as the Power Apps per app plan?

So , if we presently have power apps plan 1, plan2 are we supposed to purchase/buy Power Apps per user plan, per app plan separately to use the premium connectors.

Kindly mention, thanks in advance.

P1 and P2 are not the same as per user and per app.  P2 is functionally equivalent to per user, but P1 is completely unique and no longer exists. They are still valid based on when your organizations license renewal date is, but you can't buy them anymore. If they are still listed and haven't expired then your organization can use them.  But most organizations will find that they expired a long time ago.

    Hi @Anonymous

I agree this is very confusing.  At the time of the discontinuation of the P1/P2 plans, there was a period where both licensing models co-existed. I guess the P1/P2 plans appear in the admin center for the customer because they subscribed to those plans before the transition to the per user/per app plans.

Because it's been such a long time since the introduction of the per user/per app plans, I susupect those plans will no longer be active. The sure way to find out would be to raise a support ticket.

@Pstork1 knows this topic very well and may be able to comment further on the appearance of the P1/P2 plans in the admin center.

What will happen to the Power Apps and Power Automate Plan 1 and Plan 2 plans on December 31, 2020?

Power Apps P1 and P2 and Power Automate P1 and P2 plans will no longer be available for purchase, including via auto-renewal, after December 31, 2020. Customers with these plan licenses that have renewals falling on or after January 1, 2021 will need to transition to the Power Apps per user or per app plans, or the Power Automate per user or per flow plans to continue using the Microsoft Power Platform services. Re: Regarding power apps plan1

Thanks a lot @timl for the quick response.

As the customer can still see them under licences section of Admin centre. So will those be still working for power apps? Excluding the premium connectors.?

Because it's quite confusing if the old licensing model of plan1/plan 2 is abandoned, why is it still showing under licence section?

Or will these plan1/2 licensed can be used for other functionalities? Or they don't include any...

Kindly let me know on the same..

Provided any Microsoft document for the same , would be really appreciate. Thank you

    @Anonymous

I answered a similar question here which might be of use to you.

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Power-Apps-Plan-2-Trial-Which-Premium-plan-is-this-equivalent-to/m-p/1657707

Plan1/plan 2 relates to the old licensing model and there's no direct correlation between this and the new per user/per app plans.

Moving on forwards, if you want to use premium connectors, you can purchase either the per user or per app plan.
