Configuration Table in Dataverse

Hi All,

I am planning to create a configuration table in Dataverse. In this table, I will store values which I will be using in my Power pages as well as in power automate flows.

Does anyone know how to do that?

The main reason why I want to do this is because, when I deploy my solution into another environment for the first time, I want to easily setup my variables which my program relies on.

Thanks

I think if you create a normal table in your power apps solution. You can use that table to store data using Power Pages as well as from Power Automate.

    Hi @Nippan_Rajak

I am using a 'when a HTTP request is received' trigger in power automate. It is generating a URL. I want to automatically store this URL in a table so that I can retrieve this URL in the power pages code editor.

    How can I do that?

If you want to use the URL just use the javascript API call method. Like Fetch, XHR etc

    Hi @bssienes

    Method 1:

The best way is to use the solution and environment variable provided by the solution. You can create a solution and add the relevant dataverse tables which you are utilising for your power pages.

The official article here will guide you through creating environment variables. Click here to view it

This method is beneficial if you have plans to migrate from dev to test, or test to prod scenarios.

    Method 2:

    1. Create a custom table where you can store your values generated from power automate trigger

    2. In the power automate, use dataverse connector and use "update a row" dataverse action to update the column value

    Hope it helps.
