Liquid error: Could not find an entity with name adx_entitylist and id 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 (2227557)

Hello everbody,

I'm new to Power Pages and trying to learn it now. I built a new site from blank, created a table and a view. However, whenever I add a list into a page, it will disappear when the page is reloaded and the error message "

Liquid error: Could not find an entity with name adx_entitylist and id 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 (2227557)" will be shown instead (the number inside the parentheses is not always the same). I can add the list to the page with no problem and if I click preview after I added the list, I can view and edit the list. But as soon as I click "Sync" or reload the page, the list will be replaced with the error message. After that, when I click preview, I will also just see the error message too.

I tried to create a new site from blank and tried adding a list but also faced the same problem. However, when I start a new site from a template, I don't run into this problem. Could anyone please tell me what is the cause of this problem and how can I solve it? Thank you so much in advance.

I haven't seen that issue before, quite a strange one.

Are you using the Enhanced Data Model? How are you adding your list? is that via Liquid/HTML or via Portal Management App?

Hi Oliver, I added the list the standard way on Power Pages Design Studio: clicked add a section, clicked list and followed the directions. I also created the table and the view the standard way on the "data" tab on Design Studio. This list error also comes up when I create and add a list from any other existing table/view.

Another strange thing is, when I add a list, the html code of that section will be

    <div class="col-lg-12 columnBlockLayout" style="flex-grow: 1; display: flex; flex-direction: column; min-width: 250px; word-break: break-word;">{% include 'entity_list' key: 'List company' %}</div>

Even after the page is reloaded and the error showed up, the section of the html code will still stay the same. But If I add another element to the page (when the list error message already shows) and I check the html code again, it will become this

    <div id="i5dpgp" class="col-lg-12 columnBlockLayout" style="flex-grow: 1; display: flex; flex-direction: column; min-width: 250px; word-break: break-word;">Liquid error: Could not find an entity with name adx_entitylist and id 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 (2240669).</div>

Can you double check in the Default Solution in Dataverse for that Table (adx_entitylist) to confirm if the table has been installed or not.

Running into the same situation, looks like it was installed with the table being named mspp_entitylist instead of adx_entitylist

@seth_clossman check if you are using Enhanced or not.  mspp_ tables are what are used if you are Enhanced.

Definitely using the Enhanced Data Model (since it is enabled now by default).  The liquid error I'm receiving says "Liquid error: Could not find an entity with name adx_entitylist and id 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 (2600911). "

Is this some piece of legacy code in Power Pages looking for the adx_ version of the table?

David you are not alone. I created a new site Sunday and had the same problem. I am using the Enhanced Data Model. The list displays fine when initially added to the page. When I Sync the first time in the Power Pages Designer the adx_entiylist error shows. The Web page shows the list properly and I can refresh the Web page and it still works. Sometimes when I Sync again, the liquid error also wipes out the List on the Web page and the Web page loads with the adx_entitylist error.

I tried deleting and rebuilding the page multiple times. I deleted the entire site and built a new one. The same thing happens on the new site. In both sites I opted to use the new list format. Then I tried it with the old list format and had the same issue.

There has been some strange behaviour recently. I suspect you may need to contact Microsoft for assistance.

It may be worth checking your portal version to ensure you're on the latest version.

    Hi @davidkr, @GWham1, @PowerBi-Rick, @seth_clossman,

that sounds strange but could one of you try disabling the enhanced data model for that envr.,

create a blank new power page (old model), enable enhanced data model and than check if the problem is resolved?

That workaround did the trick in a similar error for me.

    Hope that helps.

If the post solves your problem, please mark it as solution. If it helps, consider a thumbs up.
