I have created a power apps with SharePoint as backend. When i share power apps with user then it should also share access to the SharePoint with user. In other application it automatically provides access to the SharePoint when i share power apps with user but now when i try to share the app then i need to manually provide SharePoint access to user.
It may be happening because i created subsite in SharePoint for my application. Can anyone help how we can fix this issue?

    Hello,
Thank you for your expertise on this topic!

Can you please expand on how you implemented this:
"I choose to not give my users the ability to navigate to the site following a tip I received from WarrenBelz"?
    Thanks

Hey that is not quite right. by doing it as a security group you are merging access into one place e.g. run only flow users, App users and sharepoint just need to be added and removed from a single place. Also access to navigate to the sharepoint site is determined by the role you give your users. I choose to not give my users the ability to navigate to the site following a tip I received from WarrenBelz.

This is just how I do it and recommend doing it but you are welcome to try other methods if you personally find them easier 🙂

It only works if your SharePoint site isn't a private group

Yes we can do that but why to manage access level in 2 different places when we can manage it in single place. And if we give SharePoint access to the user group then they can directly come in SharePoint and modify the data right but I want to force them to modify data only using power apps.

I have always shared access to the resources (in this case a sharepoint list) and then the app. I have never known it to automatically do that. My preferred method of sharing is buy making a group in AAD via Portal.Azure.Com and sharing the list/site with that group and then sharing the app with that group that way i only need to add and remove people from that group 🙂

unsure if the above is helpful but that is how i do it 🙂

This may be happening because the SharePoint is a private group.
