Sharing Power Apps without Sharepoint Connection

Hello,

I have created a Power Apps application(Canvas) that required SharePoint connection. Now I want to share this app to few new users who does not have permission to access SharePoint. While sharing this application with users, it is asking the connection popup. They are unable to signin and proceed further due to access restriction.

Hence do we have any option to overcome this issue with same app and SharePoint?

Thanks

    hello @Velegandla,

    We changed the permissions in SharePoint as well. Not working. Will check again and let you know.

    @AshwinKalees

    You need to give minimum read access to users on SharePoint list/Library.

    Thanks for your reply.

    The scenario is as follows: I have developed and deployed a Power Apps application and several cloud and desktop flows on a specific account. This account has an M365 Business Plan license along with an Attended BOT.

    Due to some limitations, end users are not allowed to use M365 and SharePoint, and thus, they do not have a license for M365 and SharePoint. However, they do have a Power Apps per app plan license along with Outlook only. Therefore, we need to share this application with end users to allow them to utilize the solution daily..

    Thanks for your suggestion. Yes i did this already. So the connection sign in popup was disabled. But the end user not able to view SharePoint records from his/her login.

    Do we need to change any settings in SharePoint?

    Re: Sharing Power Apps without Sharepoint Connection

    If your users can’t authenticate to SharePoint and the app needs to connect to SharePoint to operate then that’s a problem.

    but it depends on what the SharePoint connection is needed for, if it’s to say create an item in a list on the press of a button; then you could use a flow in Power Automate to do this. The PowerApps V2 trigger allows “run only” permissions to be set. This means you can set the flow to run under an account different to the user interacting with the app and the user pressing the button doesn’t themselves need the permission. For more info, I’d recommend watching this video: https://youtu.be/ts-ggDAy7IQ?feature=shared

    If my response solves your query, please mark as a solution. If it contributed to the solution, please kudos!

    @AshwinKalees

    You can bypass the consent with the help of PowerShell

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/microsoft.powerapps.administration.powershell/set-adminpowerappapistobypassconsent?view=pa-ps-latest

    I am curious about the scenario though, why do you want to do this?
