Adding wor in excel(onedrive)

Trying to add a row to existing table. However, Powerautomate is not able to connect/retrieve details from the Excel sheet.

 

Using a personal account and there is no permission issues.

 

Could not retrieve values. The dynamic invocation request failed with error: { "status": 401, "message": "You do not have permissions to open this file in the browser.\r\nclientRequestId: xxxxx\r\nserviceRequestId: xxxx", "error": { "message": "You do not have permissions to open this file in the browser." }, "source": "excelonline-si.azconn-si-001.p.azurewebsites.net" }.

    I am using the same identity/account to create the file and edit it.

    Two more guesses:

     

    • Does the identity you're using not have a license that would let it edit files in Excel?
    • Does the identity you are using need a Share to the file location?

    Thanks for your suggestions, I don't see any details in OneDrive, saying that its locked. Problem seems to be for all the Excel files, same problem when I use Integromat/Make platform instead of PowerAutomate. Maybe something to be checked in the back-end.

    It is possible for the file to be locked even if it is not open. Take a look at the file location in OneDrive. See if you can Unlock it from there.

    Have made sure the file is not open anywhere else, still I get the same error.

    Do you maybe accidentally have the file locked because you already have it open in a browser tab?
