checking on anonymous user count, page views

ReportReport

I'm on a PAYG account, with a very tiny site. The only report I receive on count of anonymous users is via an AzureSponsorship report, giving me a daily count. I can't get a report from PP > Admin Center > Resources >Capacity: the downloaded file has headers but no values. (The Page Views report does show values). I also run GA4 on the site.

I'm confused by the big disparity between the Azure report and stats from GA4 (or Clarity, for that matter). Over a 30-day period, Azure reports more than 2X anonymous users than GA4; the page views count on the Admin Center report is similarly >2X page views vs. GA4. The page views/user are roughly equivalent between the 2. Haven't been running Clarity long enough to have a good sample size, but its numbers are closer to (and smaller than) GA4 than to Azure reported.

I understand all cookies are not created equal, but...what am I missing? Are there other tools I should be using to understand my traffic, if GA4 is flawed?

thx -- Stew

    Hi @StewC ,

There is a new way to get traffic reports directly in Power Platform Admin Center - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-pages/admin/admin-center-analytics - check it out to compare with your other results. Also, keep in mind that beyond just cookies if you perform any operations with Power Pages Web API, those operations for anonymous users are counted as views.

@OOlashyn , thanks for pointing this out -- had not seen this before. I'll compare with the rest.

    Not using PP Web API.
