I am working on an app right now that after submitting the form it creates an item using that form into a sharepoint list. I do not want to give everyone write access to this list but I do want everyone to be able to use it off their accounts. Is there a way for them to put in the information off their account and click submit but once they do it creates the item in sharepoint off another account that does have write access?
Hi Mueller,
As you may know, users need permissions to sharepoint connections that the app uses. Some types of connections, such as SQL Server, are shared automatically, but others like SharePoint require users to create their own connections to the data source or sources in the app.
So if you want the users to contribute to SharePoint list, they must use a write access account to access SharePoint connection. I just tested with an account who do not have access to the SharePoint list. When I open this app, I was told to connect to SharePoint but it will automatically use my current account, and after I click on Switch Account, it won't let me login with other accounts.
I will try to involve more resource to look into this issue.
Regards,
Mona
