Uploading PDF Attachment only shows "error"

We have this Add files popup that is connected to SharePoint Document Location.

We already modified all the permission regarding the form/subgrid.

When a user upload a certain PDF document, this error shows up and does not indicate anything regarding the error.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi @ldrnxprtchs,

is it wokring for other files besides .pdf and especially that pdf?

You can usually use the console and have a look for errors.

Can you try that and post the error here?

It's only showing on some PDF. Can you show me how can I use the "console"? Thank you.

    Hi @ldrnxprtchs ,

@Lucas001 wants you press F12 on your browser and check the console if there is any message inside it like the below screenshot

    Hi @ldrnxprtchs ,

No problem, we are all learning.

Could you please if the file you are uploading is exceeding the max size defined at the Dynamics 365 CRM?

Please check this link to know more about the max size and limits for note at Dynamics 365 CRM.

Solved: Max file size limit in dynamics crm 365

    Hi @EmadBeshai,

could you try what @EmadBeshai mentioned?

You can see in your error that you get a code 403 which means something is "forbidden".

You testes it with other files and it did work correct? So it could be the filesize as mentioned.

Other than that you could have a look if PDFs are disabled to be uploaded. It is possible to configure the datafiletypes which are allowed to be uploaded.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hope that helps.

    Hi @Lucas001  & @EmadBeshai

The subgrid that we're using is pointed to SharePoint Document Location (connected by the Document Management Setting) and once a file is attached to the Power Pages Site, it will automatically save to a SharePoint Library.

    ldrnxprtchs_0-1698061174449.png

I tried increasing the maximum file size in the settings and still got the same error.

    Thank you and regards.

    Hi ldrnxprtchs

I hope you have found a solution for the issue, even though it is not provided here.

We just started to experience the same issue as you describe. It was not limited to PDF files, though. It was not possible to upload files larger than ~130 kb.

It turned out that is was due to the Web Application Firewall (WAF), which was enabled for the website:

    JannikMeibom_1-1706871084451.png

Enabling the WAF enforced some a limit to the request body of 128 kb.

Reading the documentation here, uploads should be exempt from this limit. But, this is not the case.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/web-application-firewall/ag/application-gateway-waf-request-size-limits#limits

So, disabling the firewall fixed the issue.

Hope it can help you and others experiencing this issue.

    Regards...
