Adding existing Power Pages App to a Solution

Hi there,

I am trying to add a Power Page App to a solution. To do this I am doing the following:

  1. Go to https://make.powerapps.com/environments/***/home (Power Apps)
  2. Select Solutions tab.
  3. Select the solution to which I want to add the Power Page App.
  4. Select Add Existing -> App -> Page.
  5. "No objects found" page is shown.

When I select the Apps tab of the same https://make.powerapps.com/environments/***/home link, then I can see the Power Page App listed. I am not sure why I can't see it under the solution tab.

I have also tried adding the component to the solution using the PowerPlatform CLI. However, the documentation doesn't specify what the componentType input should be?

pac solution add-solution-component --solutionUniqueName {SolutionName} --component {ComponentID} --componentType portal

Microsoft Power Platform CLI - pac solution add-solution-component - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

UPDATE: Found this page -> ComponentType Options but none of the ComponentTypes match what I would expect for a Power Page App.

Has anyone been able to add a Power Page to a Solution?

Thanks,

Jason.

    Hi @KMP_Uniserve,

There is a migration tool (Migrate standard data model sites to enhanced data model (preview) | Microsoft Learn) but it's in preview and not recomended for production environments.

Thanks for the information, does anyone know if there is a way of updating an existing site to the new data model?

This might be the issue: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-pages/admin/enhanced-data-model - only sites created with the enhanced data model are supported in solutions - also there doesn't yet seem to be any guidance on updating / upgrading existing sites from the standard data model to the enhanced data model.

Hi All, are there any updates on that topic? We also tried to add an existing Power Page into a solution and we received same issue. Is there any workaround? Cheers!

You don't.  The menu option you are attempting to use is for something different (adding a Custom Page - a special type of Canvas App - to the solution).

You will put any new Tables (and other structural elements) you have created into your own Solution.  The Web Pages and Templates etc you have created are data held in existing Tables.  In your Target environment you will setup a new portal/PowerPages, then import your Solution file, then move in the Portal/PowerPages data to do this last part use either:

    Hi @Fubar and @OliverRodrigues,

Apologies for dragging you into this one. Your help has been very useful on some other Topics so I thought you might have some tips for me.

The TL;DR is that I have an existing Power Page (that is not in a solution) which I would like to add to a solution. When I select Add Existing -> App -> Page on the solution then I get "No Objects Found".

    Kind Regards,
    Jason.
