I need some help in understanding how it works with custom domain registration.
EXAMPLE:
I like to use my registered domain: svghelp.com as custom domain.
But there are existing different TOP-Level domains like: svghelp.net, svghelp.de and others with different ownership.
QUESTION:
If one of the owners would register the svghelp doamin, is it correct, that only one can do it because the final domain
for e.g. SharePoint would be svghelp.onmicrosoft.com ???
It sounds very odd to talk about custom domain but on the end owners can lose it in the microsoft univers...
I thought it would be better to use the whole domain include top-level: svghelp.com.onmicrosoft.com
