25Dear Powerapps experts,
I am trying to understand on how to best use the connection reference in canvas app. The MS documentation has very limited details about the use of connection reference in Canvas app. Need your advice on the following -
We are moving few of our existing apps and flows to solutions and we are having issues with the SQL connection references, especially for the canvas apps.
1. The connection reference is only created when we add a new SQL connection to the canvas app. If we use an existing connection to add SQL tables to the canvas app, the connection reference does not get created. Does this mean that we must create a new SQL connection for every app even though we use the same SQL tables.
2. We have also noticed that if we do not add a SQL connection reference to the app, a SQL connection reference is automatically assigned from the pool of available connection references. This causes the missing dependency error when we import the solution to another environment. Is this the expected behaviour ?
3. When we update the connection for a connection reference, the connection is not updated in the canvas app. Is this the expected behaviour and how can we mitigate this ?
