Risks of importing unknown solutions

Hi, I am wanting to use a solution from an unknown source, but I do not know if there are risks regarding the environment integrity. In terms of virus inside the .zip my antivirus should detect any.

Is there something that I should be aware of before doing so?

It is good you understand the risks.

Talk to the company's cyber team before using the solution.

You can use SharePoint sites to mitigate the risks to a certain extent, but I would still talk to the security team before installing the solution, which is unknown.

Security team does have better tools and recommended approach on how to proceed in this scenario.
