Hi Folks,

I am very new to Power Apps Portals. we are using the old Microsoft CRM Customer Self Service Portals and now wish to migrate it to Power Apps Customer Self service portal, I had a few Questions regarding the same.

1. Does the Portal Addon affects or counts in the Data verse Storage capacity ?

2. What are External and internal users (Contacts in my CRM will be my External or Internal users) ?

3. My Customer Self Service Portal is live on Production (Old MS CRM Portal) how can I update it to power apps portal and do we have any plan to mitigate in case of transition failure. ?

4. how can i maintain business continuity with my existing portal contacts which are still using the portal till this date. ?

Thank you .

    Hi

1 - I believe the answer is no, but maybe someone from Microsoft might be in a better place to answer this one

2 - Every Portal user will be represented by a Contact in your Dataverse - external users will login via Local Login or Azure AD B2C / any other external Identity Provider. Internal users will login via Azure AD, and this won't count in your login capacity, even though they are represented as System Users in the Model-Driven App/Dataverse, the Portals will still create a Contact record for them

3 - I believe you need to open a support ticket with Microsoft, this would be more a licensing model change than actual feature changes, so there should be no impact in your Portals. Regardless, always create a backup of your Portal data

4 - Your Portal data should not change, your users will still be able to login after you transition to the new Model
