Power Page List Filter: Dynamic lookup set shows wrong values

Hi all,

as described in the subject I face the challenge that after having set up a Dynamic Lookup set filter for a lookup column, the filter dropdown shows values that arent't present in the view of the table. I see where the problem comes from but dont't know how to deal with it.

Background: I have two tables: LV and Position. LV ist a parent table, Position the child table that has a look up to LV (1:n). Since our company works and comments on both tables in different teams and projects, record ownership of LV an Position is assigned to internal project teams.
Now we want to grant access to external employees of craft companys via Power Pages to see what we commented on Positions. Authenticated Employees (in table contact) shall only see records of Position that their company (in table account) is given an order for.
To realize that, the table LV has a lookup column to the table account. For the table Position we have created a power pages specific view with a filter that only shows records where the accountname of the parent table account of the parent table LV eq the accountname. I learnd from other discussions that I can choose any created record of the account table as accountname. So my filter looks like "account equals 'Example Company C'". This works fine. When I log in as fake Albert, who is part of 'Example Company A', I only see Positions where the LV they belong to is appended to Company A. And as fake Bob I only see Positions that belong to 'Example Company B'...

The next step where I struggle is that for the case a craft company works on more LVs than one, their employees shall be able to filter down the Positions to one LV. At this point the dropdown of the Dynamic Lookup Set of the lookup column LV only shows LVs of Example Company C, that one, that is used to filter down the records in the first step.

So I wonder if there is another possibility of dynamically filtering down the records or should I modify the filtering of the first step.

Best regards,
Philipp

Power Page List Filter: Dynamic lookup set shows wrong values
    Hi Michael,

thanks for your reaction. I try to explain it in more detail, assisted by screenshots. The problem occurs in the second step but I guess that is caused by the setup of the previous, first step.

The structure in relevant excerpts is attached. We use the tables to make comments on records in the table Position in multiple columns (pollutant requirements of materials in construction). My company works in different teams, which are owners of the records in the table Leistungsverzeichnis (List of Servic) and Position.

Now in a first step we want that the contacts (employees of a craft company/account) can see our comments and want to set up an access via power pages. They shall only see positions of a List of Service that their company works on. For this reason a view of the table Position has a filter, based on the name of their account. I can't say sth like 'company eq company of current user', instead I have to pick one of the companys (Screenshot). This does the job. When I choose Company B and, for example, log in as an employee of company A, I can only see records where the company of the List of Service is Company A.

Since it is possible that one craft company works on multiple Lists of Service, even from different projects (buildings), one employee could see records from different Lists of Services in his portal. So in the second step we try to use the dynamic filter set to offer better usability. The settings of the dynamic filter are attached. At this point, the options of the Filter in action (attached) is not what I expect. The logged in user sees two positions that belong to the same list of service called 'LV1 Rohbau'. He can filter down the positions that belong to the list of service called 'LV1 Dach'. Here I would like to have the 'LV1 Rohbau' as the only filter option. The 'LV1 Dach' is the only List of service in my sample data that is appendet to Company B, the one that is the filter criteria in step one.

Hope this illustrates my problem better.
    Best regards, Philipp
