I am attempting to play around with power pages, but I am unable to create a site, this is in the trail environment that it setup, as well as other environments that I am in (I am system admin of them all)

Screen shot of the the page saying I don't have permissions.

    Hi @MKeppel

To make the process easy. Adding simple steps below.

    1. Sign up for the Power Apps Developer plan. Adding official link here

    2. Use the email id which you use on a daily basis and create a dev environment.

    3. Once it is created / if already exists, then use the below link and click sign in with the same email id

    https://make.powerpages.microsoft.com/

    4. Make sure you choose the dev environment (sometimes you need to select twice)  and click create a site.

    Hope it helps.

Hi @ragavanrajan , I followed your instructions and I'm still unable to create a site.
Same error, same screen as reported by @MKeppel

    Any other suggestions?
    Thank you

    @MKeppel  / @omelo ,

Do you know if you have the System Administrator role?

    The requirement is:

    • If you don't have sufficient privileges to provision a portal, an error is displayed. You must have the System Administrator role in Dataverse to create a portal. You must also have the Access Mode set to Read-Write under Client Access License (CAL) Information in the user record.

See more: Create a Dataverse starter portal - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs

Also, do you know if your environment has Dataverse capacity?

You can check opening the https://make.powerapps.com  >> Select your environment at the top >> Go to the left menu and you will be able to see the Dataverse/Tables. Look at this page if you are able to create tables or something like that.

Otherwise, you can check if you are creating the site within the default environment which is not allowed today.

    Hi @omelo & @MKeppel

The first suggestion is to try in the incognito window. This will clear cache and cookies. As mentioned, would be great if you have a developer plan.  Because you have mentioned, you have full rights it is worth checking the instructions from @renatoromao and ensure you have proper role privileges.

While trying incognito make sure you turn off the "block third party cookies"

    Hi @renatoromao ,

    yes, I'm a system administrator. environments>environment name>settings>Security roles>System Administrators

and it seems that the environment has the Dataverse capacity . I can add data and see tables.
There must be something else that is preventing the creation of the site but can't figure it out!

@MKeppel @omelo really sorry to hear you are facing this issue. I think the easiest way here might be opening a support ticket with Microsoft as they can see exactly what's going on. You can do this via eh link: Power Platform admin center (microsoft.com) and click on Help + Support

For some reason it worked fine for the other system admin at my company. There is nothing obviously I can see which is different between our accounts.

I will raise a support ticket.
