Power Pages licensing

Hello,

I have a few questions around licensing of Power Pages.

I went through the documentation, but unfortunately, I still don't get the clear information.

1. When a power pages site is created, it adds model driven apps like "Portal Management", "Power Pages Management" & "Solution Health Hub" in the environment. Is it required to buy the app passes for these OOB apps?

2. Suppose I purchase 1 pack of Tier 1 (i.e. 100 user) of Authenticated user capacity for my site, but 105 users get added, what would be the experience for the extra 5 users? Would the site be inaccessible to them? Would the admin be notified of this?

Hoping someone has gone through, and figured out these questions.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Amrita

    Hello @AmritaSengupta

The model driven apps are only used by internal users to configure the power pages site.

You can check Admin Center to view license consumption for power pages:

    1) Interesting question. Always had a premium license for this. What scenario would you foresee users accessing these apps that wouldn't have a premium license?

    2) I could be wrong but I think there is a little tolerance here for going a little over. I've always got the impression that as long as it averages out. Interested to know if this assumption is incorrect.

Good questions, MS should have these in an FAQ.

Thank you, I have that information with me. Looks like, as these apps require a premium connector, the app passes would be needed.

    Thanks for the reply.

Sadly, MS doesn't have it in their FAQ and it is very hard to get any information or a guidance document.
