For example, there is only one section between header and footer, how to make this middle section fill the whole middle space of the page?

What I want to do is to increase that section height, not to change footer or CSS or layout template.
After increasing the section height, then I could add an image as that section's background, I want the section to fill all middle space on the page between header and footer, so that the background image could fill the main page space too:

There are various approaches to solve this problem. On a high level
1. You can apply a sticky footer using CSS
2. Reduce the body width using CSS
3. Change the page layout template
