Hi All,
I must be missing something as I am attempting to edit my "Home" Power Pages page with the "Edit Code" button, I get the message Edit in Visual Studio Code for the Web, however upon loading I get the warning "The extension 'Power Platform Tools wants to sign in using Microsoft". I press allow and then I sign in with my MS account I use but am immediately shown an error:
Hiya,
This has now been resolved in my case and it was relating to a CA Policy blocking 365 App login to other countries.
I assume perhaps this some sort of sandbox so logs in from places like Amsterdam data centre.
Hopefully it helps you as well.
Hi I am experiencing the same issue
Is there a workable solution, I have tried everything listed on post and am still getting the same error as OP
Thanks
Hi @zylgwyn,
is anybody in your company able to login? If not have a look at your blocked websites in your company, maybe you need to add vscode web as exception.
I would recommend trying the vs code plugin and see if you have access to the power page and can work on desktop vs version. For that follow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SKXP7rQx4g
Hi @Lucas001
you are right, it says I'm not logged in using any account.
I tried to turned on the sync setting I got this error.
I got few users try to reproduce the same thing and they all got similar error.
Hi @bdcollins, @zylgwyn,
you should be able to login yourself even in the VS Code Web.
What is stated down at your account?
Are you logged in?
Hi Lucas,
Thank you for responding to this thread. Unfortunately, we did that as well but no luck.
When first open the VS Code, there's prompt saying 'the extension Power Platform tools wants to sign in using Microsoft' followed by sign in prompt and then it says the authorization failed.
Have you tried different browser?
I for myself use firefox with the Multi-Account-Container AddOn so that all the new tabs are opened with the same account.
Hi Everyone,
I'm also having the same issue, whatever I do, it always says 'Authorization failed' for all users in our organisation. Everyone has admin level access. We did installed XRM Toolbox as workaround, but I think VSCode is far more superior, robust and more interactive as IDE.
There's no currently support to raise a ticket for this particular product, but I did ask support through 'Power Apps' support, but no response so far.
So, please any help on this issue will be a great deal for us moving forward as this product has heaps of potential in the market.
Thanks.
Hi,
I have created another site (PowerPage) in my Environment with the same outcome but have not created a new environment.
Thanks
Hi @bdcollins ,
do you have another PowerPage where you could try to use VS Code?
The reason is to see if something is wrong witht he page or with the rights settings
