Hi everyone, now that the new Microsoft power pages has been announced. I am curious, how it will work with Power BI embedded. I wanted to create a client-facing website that can access by external customers. Would that be easy since it is included in the power platform? Appreciated the tips & tricks 🙂 Thanks!

You should go to "Power Apps portals admin center", and turn on "Enable Power BI Embedded Services" - you can do that if you are a global administrator of your organization.

    Hi @rbalza

There are two imp steps here to understand

    1. Step 1 is to enable the Power BI services mentioned by @minhtri2000

    2. Step 2 is adding the Power BI component to the pages.  To achieve this.

Edit the Pages using Pages studio

    1. Click the + button to add 1 column or any columns depending on your need

    2. Select Power BI from the component below. Adding screenshot for reference

    3. Then choose your report or dashboard from the workspace.

    Hope it helps.

    Hi there,

Sorry for digging up an old thread but I have a quick question around the above...

Like rbalza, I am setting up a client-facing website for providing reporting. Power BI Embedded seems to be the way to go but I am exploring using Power Pages rather than an external site.

I can see from your response above that the set-up is certainly more straightforward when using Power Pages.

However, my question is, do you still need the same Power BI Embedded licence (Power BI Embedded Pricing) as you would if using an external website/app?

    Thanks!
