Hey Everyone.

I am working on a project where we have a list of records.
This list of records has a Filter Criteria set for Current user and one for the users account.

The filters work great and it names them
My and (Account name)

My problem is our portal supports several languages-
On all languages its called "My".

I cant find where to insert translations.

I hope you can help.

Hi, there are two places you can set the localized content:

Dataverse level: Export customized table and column text for translation with Power Apps - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn

or within the Portal Management App, within your list configuration:

make sure to select Advanced Settings, and you should see one "Display Name" per language

    Hi @Kjp

Please follow the instructions from @OliverRodrigues. If you are using an enhanced data model, I have reported a few bugs to the product team. Some of the translations are not working.

Btw your language advanced will show like below

    Hope it helps.

This only works if i Used views to filter. But I cant get it to filter on "current portal user" with views.

Thats why we use filter conditions.

I have tested it like this:

However it still shows "My" and account name.

    I am filtering like this:

@Kjp is there any specific reason as to why you are securing your data by using "filter by current user" and not via Table Permissions?

That is because the list of data gets very long.

They need to be able to both read and write on account level and on personal level.
So to sort on current by user and current by account.

Is there a better way to do this_

You should have 2 Table Permissions

one at the account level / another at the contact level

this would make sure your data is secure

From your current configuration, if you enable Portal API for example (for that table), you will be exposing more data than you should to external users.

    Good pointe.

    They currently have account level.

But this still wouldn't solve the issue of being able to isolate "My own" records?

The list for an entire account would possibly contain 800+ records.
They can of course search in it, but they would like to be able to only see their own.

2 lists would of course solve it, but the form has plenty lists already.

If you want to separate views, I am assuming you are already facing the issue with your current filter. I believe the solution here is to have to separate Lists, and then you can add the additional filter on the "contact" one.

I am not sure if you are following this tip for filtering, perhaps there might be a way to solve your issue with this

Power Apps Portals Tip #76 - Filtering Entity Lists Based on the Current Contact - Engineered Code - YouTube

I haven't come across that requirement before. Please note that you should still have the Table Permissions in place, it may not solve your problem of the list filtering, but it is the proper way to secure your data.
