Toggle button in Power Pages showing Yes or No when in the Form I changed the values

Hi,

I'm New to power pages and I'm developing a webpage form for users to submit their interest. One of the fields is a Toogle Field so that users can select whether they would like to pay online or in cash.

From the form, it seems it is working correctly . The toggle is by default enabled and the label is correct -

However, when previewing the website, the toggle is switched off by default, and the values are either No or Yes.

How can I change them to reflect the custom label values and also be switched on by default?

Thanks

    Hi @szpm-mt ,

Couple of things after looking at what you're trying to do. Why don't you go with option set rather than two option column? Using option set you can yet more detailed information (e.g. Cash, Credit Card, PayPal etc.) and you can set the default value to NULL so user couldn't leave it as default value already selected (even in case of your current example) or you can set other value as default (let say PayPal). Also, you can always add more values to this column as per need.

On other hand, if you still want to proceed with two option column what you have currently, you can set the default value to YES in column properties. A two option column cannot be null it has by default NO (that's why you see it no in preview), but you can set it to YES and publish your changes. You cannot see both labels at the same time because you're showing this column as toggle key, only one value will be shown, and user can set it on/off. Let say you may call it Pay Online? (Yes/No).

Feel free to ask, if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Saud

    Hi Saud

    Thanks for getting back.

apologies for being blunt but this is the first time I'm developing with Power Pages.

If you may can you please elaborate how I can use the option set. Maybe guide me trough simple instructions on how to do it so I check wheter its a plausible solution for me.

Also with regards to your other comment please note that I only have two options either Pay in Cash or Pay Online and they need to select either one from those. I like the toggle as it can seen in form section since the lable changes based on the state of the toggle. If the toggle is set to True the text would be Pay by PayPal or Credit Card and if the toggle is set to False the label text is changed to Pay in Cash. This can be tested from the forms Section however when then previewing the website the toggle field lable inside the form is changed to Yes or No and the toggle is not enabled by default unlike to what I'm seeing from the form view.

In forms to achieve this I'm using the Toggle Input Component

Happy to discuss it further if required

    Hi @szpm ,

To create a Choice column, you can choose Data Type as Choice and then Choice. Please check attached screenshot. If you create a list all possible values can be shown at a time, in case of toggle label changes when toggle turns off/on. You can set default value as well.

If you want to set default value of your existing column to Yes. You can set the default value by Editing your column and changing default value from No to Yes.
