Cost of Forum Template for Internal users

Hi everyone,

I'm having such a headache to understand the licensing model. But I'd like to submit you a fairly simple use case where I envision to promote the idea of using powerpages.

I do work for an NGO and we're using Dynamics 365 F&O as our ERP Solution. D365 has been customized a lot and seeking advice on regular forums is tricky because some solutions might not work on our solution.

We then need to optimize the way users can exchange with each other and find solutions which sometimes (many times) doesn't require IT intervention.

The best way to organize that is Forums. And this example of forum is great : https://powerusers.microsoft.com (do you know it ?!)

It took me a fair amount of time to understand that this forum is actually a PowerPage, isn't it ?

I would like to setup a similar forum to address common issues related to D365 and the PowerPlatform in-house, and I wanted to implement the same kind of Forum.

The use of the Forum Template in PowerPages would be a great option to keep a consistent use of MS solutions accross the organization.

The forum would be accessible ONLY for internal users, what then would be the associated cost ?

You see what I mean I believe, if I have to pay per user while I could install phpBB for free... 🙂

I hope someone would be able to steer me in the correct direction as I would really like to setup a similar forum...

By the way, I'd like to thank the community for everything in have learn on the powerplatform searching here.

All the best,

PS: I found that article that I understood would create a similar experience, but I'm not yet able to setup these things in my organisation, am I right ? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/community-forum-setup

    Hi @Benrav

Welcome to the Power Pages forum. I will try to answer simply.

    1.  https://powerusers.microsoft.com - Ans: This forum is not a Microsoft product and not Microsoft Power Pages.   It might be disappointing for you. This forum is Khoros's product. Adding link here.

    2. If you need a Microsoft Power Pages template like a forum setup. You can use the Powerpages Dynamics 365 templates. Official link

Many of the templates would suit your need.

    1. Dynamcis 365 Customer service

    2. Community template

    And 3. Modern community.

    3. For internal user licensing, there is a charge every month. Details below

    Hope it helps.
