How can we filter record on portal based on logged in user?

Dear Folks,

I need your help on Power App Portal.
I have created a power app portal from a blank with the background is CDS, in CDS I have created one custom entity with 10 records.
Now, I have 2 user one is admin and another is CDS user.
I have created entity list and added entity list to the web form, now I wanted to show all list records to admin but not to the CDS user on portal. (i.e. the CDS user will only be able to see his own record).
So how can we filter records based on logged in user?

Thanks in advance..!

your setup looks pretty much the same as mine

    did you clear the cache?

did you associate the web roles to your entity permissions?

what's the behavior in your portal? are you able to view all the records? no records? only own records?

    Hi,
As refereed to your solution, I have created the two entity permission records please find attached snip.
also, I have enabled the entity permission on the entity list and added the web role to the entity permission but still,
    it is not working.

    Thanks..!

hi, yes you can achieve that using two entity permission records: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/configure/assign-entity-permissions

1 entity permission (admin) - set to global and associate the Admin web role

2 entity permission (authenticated users) - set to contact and associate your contact lookup permissions01.PNG

make sure to check your entity list for "Enable Entity Permissions"

with the above settings the admin would see everything, the authenticated only records associated to their own user (Contact).. and anonymous user won't be able to see any data
