changing start step on web form which has metadata and Js now the metadata ignore default value doesn't work

Hi,

I have a web form which i had to add 2 new steps to a consent block of text and check field and a condition to check if field was set to yes then move to step 2. I had to change start step to consent block of text step. from the original step 1,

step1 has bit fields which are mandatory and ignore default value

when i move step1 to not be start step it no longer retains the ignore default value metadata,

The Js on that step is working. when i push step 1 back as start step it all works fine again.

I have purged cache and restarted the site it makes no odds, I didnt write the Js on the step 1 but surely you would think Js wouldnt be expecting to check if its start step?

Has anyone else had issues moving steps and losing metadata functionality ?

Has anybody else had issues with metadata on bit fields set to ignore default value, but the set required part on same field works on the form in the same metadata record????

On further inspection, i note on other steps where there has been metadata added to ignore default value on a yes no field also doesn't work. so instead of the yes no field appearing as having no default value (which would be no) and field been mandatory, he No option is visible and selected on the portal.

Question can we ignore default values on a bit field for the portal it seems to sporadically work?

This is caused by record been created after step 1 it will respect ignore default values on step 1 for a bit field only but not in higher steps, key is try not to use bit fields if it they require these to be blank by default
