I need to run a Power App in full screen mode from the web browser on tablets. Specifically, the app needs to work on tablets with Android and iOS operating systems. I do not want to use the downloadable Power Apps app, as it requires an Office 365 user and I do not have authorization to purchase a license.
The Power App will be used in a room where any individual can have access, as it is an informational app that shows slides on how to use the equipment in the room.
Is it possible for the Power App to automatically run in full screen mode when opened in the browser?
What do you recommend regarding user management? Should each user log in to the tablet, or should a common user be created for everyone to use? I am looking for the most efficient way to handle this to save on licensing costs.
I would appreciate any suggestions or solutions you can offer.
How to Start Power App in Full Screen Mode on Tablet Browsers
Power App in Full-Screen Mode:
Direct Full-Screen Mode: Power Apps does not natively support full-screen mode in web browsers. However, you can run the Power App in a browser's full-screen mode by: F11 on chrome
Kiosk Mode on Tablets: Use the Kiosk Mode feature available on Android and iOS tablets, which allows you to lock the device to a specific web page (the Power App URL). This will give users a full-screen experience without distractions.
Deploy your Power App as a Power Pages site to allow anonymous access and avoid login/licensing challenges.
Alternative: Use Kiosk Mode on the tablets to run the Power App in a full-screen experience through the browser, coupled with a shared user if login is required.
