The Create a Planner task from TODO is straight forward. However, I cannot add the assigned task to the user who is mentioned in the post. I've been able to do it with the When a new channel message is added, but I am limited to the number of channels under a team to choose from. The TODO, I can include all the channels in one flow. I cannot find what I am missing in this flow to add the mentioned users ID whether it's adding another condition or even initializing a variable at the beginning.

If you want to give a Planner task to the person who was mentioned in a Microsoft Teams message, you need to get that person's information correctly and then use it to assign the task.
    1. First, set off the "When a task is created in To Do" trigger.
    2. Add a step to look for mentions in the message or job description. You could use an action like "Get mentions from message" or something like that.
    3. Get the user's ID or email address if they are named. Many times, this is given in the "Get mentions" step's results.
    4. If there is no user name given, choose who should get the job, such as yourself or a default user.
    5. Making the new task is easy. Just click "Create a task" in Planner.
    6. Fill in the "Assigned To" field with the user's ID or email address to give the job to them.
    7. Check the flow to make sure it works and gives out jobs correctly. Check the steps where you get the user's ID if it doesn't.
