I am setting up Flows for work use. They all work when I test run them but they will not automate. The flows are centred around Planner tasks being created or completed. My flow adds task information to an Excel documment once it has been created on Planner.
Any advice would be extremely useful, thanks!
Same issue over here.
Flow does not trigger automatically, only during testing. Is this an issue with Planner task creation?
@v-yamao-msft @Anonymous have you found a solution?
Was there ever a resolution to this issue?
We are having the same problem using Microsoft Forms and Flow. A form response is supposed to trigger the flow to run, but the only way we can get it to sucessfully run is by hitting the "Test" button as described above!
I'm having the same issue. If I run a test, against Office 365 data, the Flow trigger fires correctly and processes, but if I just leave it to pick up new instances, nothing happens. Also using Planner in my flow.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Thanks for updating.
The issue still cannot be reproduced. The trigger works properly whenever a task is completed.
Could you try with a different trigger to see if the same issue still exists?
Please try to create a copy of the flow then turn on it to see if it will be triggered.
Best regards,
Mabel
Hi Mabel,
I have been creating flows then testing them with the Test function shown below.
When I use this, the Flow works as expected. I then leave the flow turned on and complete a task, the flow does not trigger. I need for the flow to be able to trigger automatically so that this can be implemented with my team.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Could you share more details on the issue?
You mentioned that “They all work when I test run them but they will not automate”, do you mean that the flow doesn’t trigger as expected?
How do you do “test run them”?
I have made a similar flow, whenever a task is created or completed, the flow is triggered, rows will be added into the Excel table.
Best regard,
Mabel
This shows the flow I am describing.
