Power Pages for public facing site

This is more of a question about Power Pages licensing I guess but how does Power Pages work for public facing web sites? The pricing page details costs of authenticated vs anonymous users but does that actually mean that literally only 500 people can view a page per month?

 

I was hoping that Power Pages might be a Microsoft replacement for Webflow etc but based on that pricing it seems not...

    I just ran across this link that explains a bit about how the licensing works. I'm not sure what happens if/when you cross the threshold of users if you were to choose the 'user monthly capacity' plan, but I assume it works similar to mobile data caps where you pay a premium of you go over. The pay-as-you-go option will scale as the site gets more and more unique visitors.

    Keep in mind, there is a difference between an Authenticated User and an Anonymous User. Basic site viewers would more than likely fall under the Anonymous User group as there would be no direct login access to view the site in an portal capacity. But if you're serving up data to clients or employees who need to log in in order to see pertinent data, they would fall into the Authenticated User group.

    Seems to me, this is a scalable pricing model that would no inhibit visitors, but would incur additional costs if you blow over your plan - meaning more than 500 people can certainly view a website per month.
