How to share views between tables?

Hi there,

Is there a way to share views between tables in the same environment?  I have created a large table (240 columns, one for every month for 20 years - data entry for a budget model - that I am using as a template for many tables.  I can replicate the schema ok using XRM Toolbox - Clone Field Definitions, but I can't find a way to copy views.  This is a real annoyance as I manually arranged 240 month columns Jul-23, Aug 23 etc.

In Power Apps it has the option to "Add  existing view", which looked promising:

, but when I clicked through it says "No sub-components".  How do I make the desired view available as a sub-component?

Thanks SteRe, you are a diamond! FetchXML Builder worked a treat.

You raise a good point about having one combined table and separate views/permission splits.  I'll probably do that

Hi, there is a tool in XRM Toolbox called FetchXML Builder. You can use it to modify views externally. I think with this it would be possible to create new views too. If not create the view to your entity as simple as possible and modify the view with the toolbox then.

Another alternative would be to setup an unmanged solution in your dev system containing the whole entity including all sub components (fields, views etc) you need. You could export unmanged, unpack the zip, do changes to the XML file, pack again and import to create a copy of the entity.

But you should know what you are doing with this kind of change 😉

By the way, I guess you have good reasons for duplicated structures instead of having all data in one table split by permissions.
