    found some posts:

    Just to be clear, to connect from Power BI to Dataverse, you don't need a data gateway nor do you need to have named pipes setup.

    This is a common problem that Power Up students regularly encounter. The reason is because there's something blocking access to port 1433, which is the TDS endpoint that Dataverse uses.

    Usually, this will be a firewall or some other restriction on the network. Therefore, if you're encountering this on a work or school network where such restrictions may be in place, I would try connecting at home or via a phone that's been setup as a hotspot.

    @w.p

    I uninstalled my old version, installed the latest version, signed out of my microsoft account and closed the app.

    I restarted the app, logged in fresh with my power up login and still seeing the same error.

    @LW-18041150-0

    1 - Are you using your work machine?
    If so, it’s possible it has been blocked by your IT, as  suggested.

    2 - Have you tried enabling the TDS endpoint in your Power Up Program student environment?

    I think there's some filtering going on by my enterprise network team. I have submitted a support ticket to see about whitelisting the connection to the dataverse tables I need for my PowerUp exercises. Thanks for the help!

    I'd suggest creating a developer environment using your work account—it's free. Or ask your IT to create one for you.

    The Power Up Program student account doesn’t include an Exchange Mail license, so you can’t use the Office 365 Outlook action in Power Automate for sending email. You’ll need to use Gmail or Outlook.com instead.

    Your student account will be disabled after the course ends, so you won’t have access to your apps or BI after that.

    The Power Up final challenge only requires a video recording submission, so you can build the app anywhere you want.
