File and Image Dataverse Data Type on Power Pages

Hi Team,

I'm aiming to set up a Power Page that permits portal users to upload images and files. I've set up image and file data types on Dataverse. How can I make these data types visible on Power Pages? Are these data types supported in Power Pages?

Thanks!

    Hi @Sandeep009

    Based on our understanding, you're asking, "How can to make image and file data types visible on Power Pages

    Yes, both the "Image" and "File" data types are supported in Power Pages. You can use these data types to display images and allow users to upload files through Power Apps portals. When you bind these controls to the corresponding fields in your Data verse table, Power Apps handles the storage and retrieval of images and files, making it easy to incorporate these features into your portal.

    To visible this on power page you to need to follow the below step

    1. Add a basic Form on the power pages  For Create , Read, Edit  a record  there are the mode Type Insert ,read-only, Edit

              select the table of your data verse

    1. Add a list on page and select edit list  choose entity and then select action
    2. Add table permission for the entity  and web roles for visibility

    You can also retrieve this column type {in my case gw_image) using FetchXML using something like the below, however you need to be on a recent version of the portal for it to work correctly.

    {% fetchxml onlineresources%}
    <fetch>
     <entity name="gw_onlineresources">
     <attribute name="gw_onlineresourcesid" />
     <attribute name="gw_image" />
     <order attribute="gw_name" descending="false" />
     </entity>
    </fetch>
    {% endfetchxml %}

    {% for result in onlineresources.results.entities %}
     {{ result.gw_image }}
     {{ result.gw_image.Type }}
     {{ result.gw_image.Size }}
     {{ result.gw_image.Url }}
     {{ result.gw_image.Value }}
    {% endfor %}
