Hi there,
I have a question related to barcode scanners. Is it possible to integrate Power Apps with Portable Bluetooth scanners?
In my case I mean using a separate device for scanning barcodes instead of mobile camera and put a scanned value in an input field in Power Apps.
Thanks.
Just wanted to add on to this question incase anyone finds it. You CAN use a bluetooth barcode scanner with PowerApps. Its not because of PowerApps, but more because a BT barcode scanner is just a funny looking keyboard, basically.
Connect the BT scanner, tap a field in powerapps to put your cursor where you want the barcode info, scan barcode and boom. Filled out field.
If you use SetFocus() on the field that will take the barcode scan then you don't need to click on the field everytime.
Unfortunately, Bluetooth integration with PowerApps is not available at the moment. I do see a couple of entries in the PowerApps Ideas page though. If you'd want this to be implemented, kindly visit the link below and upvote it. Product team constantly monitors this forum and if a requirement seems feasible and important, they might consider taking it up for implementation:
